Well, that is a very interesting question! Which Do You Choose In Life?

Children have such a bright and clear picture of life. They will tell you who they are and who they will be when they grow up. They will tell you they they are going TO BE a doctor, nurse, teacher, fireman, dancer, actress, singer, or anything else they feel in their heart.

As a young boy Justin said he was going To Be a great inventor and have his name in the history books along with the other great inventors such as Thomas Edison or Alexander Graham Bell, and the like. Amy wanted to be a radio broadcaster with her own radio station as well as an actress.

Do you remember your To Be's when you were young? Every child has one; they seem to just "know" what they will be and there isn't a doubt in their mind. They have not experienced disappointment or failure yet in life, they have not had that beautiful vision of who they are blurred with life experiences.

Do you remember when you started putting the word "Not" in front of your "To Be's"?

As children grow, something happens, the innocence and belief in oneself begins to fade and is replaced with self doubt and fear. Instead of seeing all the wonderful possibilities of their "To Be", they begin to see and feel the "not good enoughs", "can't", "never", and "if only". What a sad day that is when we as a people lose site of our God given potential.

Our language is no longer a language of Increase "TO BE", but a language of decrease, "NOT TO BE". We begin to fill our head with all the negative things about what not to be instead of focusing our energy and efforts in what we get to be. Some examples are..."Not To Be so sad, stressed, unhappy, fat, lonely, jealous, angry, broke"...I could go on and on.

When did we shift from the "To Be's" to the "Not To Be's" and is it possible to shift back? The answer is "yes", you get "To Be" happy, creative, abundant, peaceful, giving, loving, inspiring, radiant, beautiful, and so much more. You are a creation of God and He does not make mistakes.

Go back to your childhood, what were your "To Be's"? Claim back your life, see yourself for who you truly are and the contributions you can make. One person really can make a difference. Choose "To Be" that difference.
